Blanca Collins

What makes Blanca Wildly Capable?

“Blanca is caring, loyal, smart, and devoted. I met Blanca through her profession but quickly considered her a friend. She has championed my successes and been there for me through trials. She has raised two amazing children who she loves fiercely. Blanca cares deeply about the people around her and I find myself lucky to be one of them.” ANGELA MUIR

What makes you feel proud?

I feel proud when others are successful too – family, friends, and customers. I love helping others overcome obstacles or achieve things they thought they couldn’t. I believe in helping customers with more than business-related issues. One of the surprising things that has come from my job is helping my clients outside of work, like by providing transportation and acting as a translator at their appointments. In my profession, I am only as successful as our customers are in their businesses.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

Moving to Oklahoma 12 years ago was a big obstacle. We had no support system. No family or friends. I had two young children, and my husband was traveling frequently for work. It was difficult not to have my family around for both joyful and challenging moments.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

In a year, I hope that I have built stronger relationships with customers and established a respected name for myself in my industry. Most importantly, I want to be a role model for my daughter and other young women, especially those pursuing a career in male-dominated industries.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

As a child of immigrant parents, I have a unique perspective on community. One of the biggest problems I see in our community is social inequalities. I have lived two very different lives as a child and as an adult. As a child I experienced sacrifice, and now I am fortunate enough to help others. We have raised our children to treat others with compassion and kindness and to help others in need.
