What makes you feel proud?
I am proud to know that amidst my busy schedule and professional pursuits, I am still able to create quality time with my family and friends. I am proud to have overcome burnout and emerged stronger, with firm boundaries that have a positive impact on my well-being, as well as on my roles as a mother and a wife.
What keeps you up at night?
Parenting worries most of the time. I feel like parenting is a guessing game and you won’t know if you made the right moves until it’s too late.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
The biggest obstacle in life has been figuring out where I feel significant. Finding my place where I truly feel like I am adding value to the world. I think I am finally on the right path and excited for the journey.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
My mom – she is a rockstar! When I was young, she managed to complete nursing school (and eventually became a Nurse Practitioner), teach aerobics classes and train for marathons, all while taking care of two young children at home. Despite juggling school and a full-time job, she always prioritized time for herself and our family. She exemplified the idea that no matter the obstacles, anything is achievable.
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope to be a more refined version of my true self and confident in my uniqueness. I hope to be the best mom and wife I am capable of being. I hope to give myself more grace when things aren’t perfect and embrace the imperfect progress.
