Amy Downs

After a near-death experience, Amy vowed to never live the same. That’s led to a massive life and career transformation, and, more importantly, authoring a book to help others step into their purpose and live with hope.

What makes you feel proud?

Helping others. When I get a message from someone who did something outside their comfort zone as a result of reading my book or hearing me speak, it makes me feel proud.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My mentor and previous CEO Lynette Leonard. She had faith in me before I had it in myself. She was a big believer in bringing other women along behind you as you climb the ladder to success. She is the reason I had the success I had in business.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

I want to show older people they don’t have to retire to the couch. I want to help them see the next chapter of their life can be shaped and created by them with intention. I want them to live their best life. Life is not over at 50, 60, 70, 80, or even 90+.

“If you had a magic wand, what would you do? Then given your current situation and current limitations, what are the easiest steps you can take today toward that picture?”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
