What makes you feel proud?

I'm so proud of watching friends, family and clients around me make strides in achieving their life goals! It makes my day when clients come in with stories of small victories like gardening all day without soreness, setting and sticking to strong boundaries with themselves and others to keep their sanity, or setting new personal records lifting a weight heavier than they did before. Watching other people change from overwhelmed and timid to strong and confident is what keeps me going!

What keeps you up at night?

The lack of time to do everything!

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

I really don't have a single person in mind as I am majorly influenced by everyone around me! I learn something new from someone different every day.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received was from my counselor. When you find yourself working harder to help those than they are willing to help themselves, it's time to step away. "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime," is a quote that will forever ring true.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

In order to get to a better, stronger, happier place as a community, we have to get to a better place with ourselves first by taking ownership in what we, as individuals, have control over. By establishing self-acceptance and awareness to view our faults and wrongs as opportunities for growth rather than losing the game, we can better learn to accept, respect and love the beautiful differences in the people around us.
