Jacqueline Corley

Using her own skills and talents to give others a useful skill is what Jacqueline is all about. And she’s done that not jus t through her business, but through a corresponding non-profit, too.

What makes you feel proud?

I feel the most proud when the work that I do inspires others to make a difference. I’m all about helping others, especially women and girls, live to their fullest potential.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

Making the shift from employee to entrepreneur. It is a completely different mindset. I understand now why some never start a business. But it has always been my dream to start one. And almost two years later, I can say I’m so glad I did it. Having a business is a daily commitment to excellence, but it’s also a very rewarding experience on so many levels.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

These last two years, I took the leap of faith to start my own company. I hope next year I have begun to give more women in tech job opportunities with my company, Tech Girls Code. I also hope to continue having the drive to see my dreams come true, as every level of growth always has a new challenge. I just hope to be at the level needed to overcome whatever that challenge is.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

Continuing to bridge the gap for women in tech. There is still a small percentage of us, and I want to help more women overcome their fears and transition into this amazing industry.
