What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

My biggest (and best!) obstacle in life so far was becoming a mom so young. I was 18 and had no idea what I was doing. I had to think quickly to figure out a way to support us both and as a result, I went into the dental field which truly changed the trajectory of my life in a positive way. What was once an obstacle, became the best blessing!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Change is a good thing! Never be afraid of things changing.

“Change is a good thing! Never be afraid of things changing.”

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My Dad! I have always been the biggest daddy’s girl you can imagine. I love that my Dad never, ever judges me. Trust me, I’ve given him some reasons to be disappointed but he never is. He doesn’t judge. He doesn’t push. He just loves me! He’s always just let me make my own way, let me make my own mistakes and then he’s there when I need him. He probably sees it coming a mile away but he knows I just need to find out for myself and we can talk about it later. It means the world and it’s truly shaped me to be who I am now! I know it’s okay to make mistakes and absolutely necessary to grow.
