What makes you feel proud?
What makes me proud is knowing when I have done something that makes a positive impact in the lives of others. Whether through my actions, words or how I carry myself, I strive to be a source of support, encouragement and inspiration to those around me. Additionally, being a good role model for my daughter is a source of immense pride for me. I am filled with joy whenever I see my daughter learning, growing and discovering who she is. By setting a solid example and demonstrating qualities like kindness, empathy and resilience, I hope to instill these values in my daughter, helping her grow into a responsible, driven and compassionate individual. My biggest goal is to raise children who feel confident, capable and safe to do whatever they put their minds to.
What keeps you up at night?
Something that keeps me up at night is whether I am genuinely balancing all the hats I wear well and setting a good foundation for my daughter. Being a working mom has its challenges, and I am sure many others can relate. I imagine this will be a never-ending battle, but I keep telling myself all I can do is my best!
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope that a year from today, I will have learned how to find more time to relax and enjoy where I am currently. I am achievement-driven, so I always look for the next thing to do. I hope I am different a year from now by learning to enjoy the present, take it all in, and not always look to check off the next item on my checklist. Easier said than done, but it is a skill I want to try hard to implement.
