Brandi Jones

What makes Brandi Wildly Capable?

Brandi is a pursuer of people and a teller of hard truths without seeking to do harm. She loves big and brings her whole heart to the table. She’s not afraid to challenge herself, but terrified of settling for less than her best. She is courageous enough to face her past so that it can heal while also being a space of healing for others.” CAYLEE DODSON

What makes you feel proud?

Professionally, being in a space to lead other people and see them grow into whatever it is that their heart desires. Maybe it is getting an ID, housing or a job. Seeing and being part of those little ways people grow makes me proud.

Personally, I feel super proud to be able to support my children in ways that I didn’t experience for myself. And watching my kids grow into the people I know they are created to be even when life takes a different path than we’d hoped.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

The biggest obstacle in my life was not having the support that I needed as a child which caused a lot more obstacles as I entered adulthood. Not having a foundation and people around me who cared and loved me consistently. Becoming a foster kid, a teenage mom and a high school dropout and dealing with all the statistics around that told me I would never be able to make it very far.

What keeps you up at night?

The baby.

Beyond that, I lie awake thinking about commitments we have and all the little details involved because I want to do everything with excellence.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My community. Being part of something bigger than myself has influenced me and helped me connect my gifts to their purpose and to grow as a leader.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I hope to continue to grow in my own healing. I hope to lead from a place of wholeness so that the young people who I lead get to experience the things I needed as a child – a place of stability and belonging.
