Sherry Dale

It’s not a coincidence Sherry is known throughout the city for the organizations she’s helped. It’s because she is fueled by the belief that making a difference in the life of another person is the single most satisfying aspect of life.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

I don’t think about obstacles very much. I tend to see opportunity in every difficulty. I believe in failing forward, which means learning from the failures and mistakes (of which I’ve had way too many to count). I expect only the best but take the time to learn from the situation when less than the best happens.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My parents. They both instilled the belief that anything can be accomplished, the value of hard work, the importance of family and tenacity.

“I expect only the best but take the time to learn from the situation when less than the best happens.”

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

I’ve been very involved with ReMerge of Oklahoma County the last several years. I have a passion for making sure there are adequate training and job opportunities for our justice-involved community.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I’ve neglected taking care of my health the last few years and am now making that a priority. In a year, my goal is to be in a much better place with a healthy lifestyle.
