Liz Davidson

We all know “that person” who is the one who always shows up with a smile and a hot meal on a hard day and that’s Liz. Even between teaching musical theatre and raising a family, she makes time to make others feel at home wherever they are.

What makes you feel proud?

Teaching my kids to love themselves, stand up for what’s right and change the world through creativity.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

I am a survivor of assault and rape. I was diagnosed with PTSD last January and have been working through incredible amounts of fear and anxiety. It has changed my outlook on life and I will forever be fighting for healing, justice and safety for women and girls.

“…I’m the most passionate about social justice, specifically racial justice as well as women’s rights. I’m not sure how I could solve both of those, but I think somehow instilling empathy in a community would change a lot.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

You didn’t come this far to only come this far.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

What a difficult question to answer. I would say I’m the most passionate about social justice, specifically racial justice as well as women’s rights. I’m not sure how I could solve both of those, but I think somehow instilling empathy in a community would change a lot.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

Probably my Mom! She’s a really strong, kind, powerful woman who instilled in me tenderheartedness and creativity.
