Laura Warriner

By thinking outside the box and seeking out intentional relationships, Laura has managed to transform the creative landscape in Oklahoma City with a one-of-a-kind art studio and learning space.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

I have been blessed by so many influences in my life. Starting with my grandparents, my parents, my fabulous husband, Bruce Goff and every creative soul since the beginning of time. All of them reignite curiosity, support and inspiration in my life.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

Forget about one year from now, what about tomorrow? I want to be different every day and learn something new every day.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

Education reform.

“If you do not know the answer, ask. Don’t be embarrassed to let others know you don’t have an answer. Don’t pretend, be curious.”

What makes you feel proud?

What makes me feel proud is watching the students transform in their talent, creativity and thinking when they come through our program. When they experience joy, I experience joy. I feel proud and joyful when I learn new things and when I see others blossom and share their thoughts with us.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

If you do not know the answer, ask. Don’t be embarrassed to let others know you don’t have an answer. Don’t pretend, be curious.
