Kalie Fry

She didn’t like the way creative agencies were being run, so Kalie totally turned the model on its head, leading the way with unmatched integrity and grace.

What makes you feel proud?

To be honest, thinking of my employees. Everyone comes from a different walk and season of life, but we all come together in honor of the work and the clients we serve. There’s something beautiful about that. Marketing gets a bad rep, but as long as your actions are done with a servant’s heart—the world around you flourishes. Helping clients remove roadblocks in their marketing creates growth in their business. In turn, this creates new jobs, puts food on family tables and stimulates local economies. At the end of the day, it’s not just a matter of developing a new logo or building a website—it’s creating great work for good people in hopes they’ll pay it forward. Some other things we’re proud of: We’re a 1% for the Planet member, and donate to various organizations like the National Park Foundation, World Wildlife Fund and Girls Who Code.

“As a business owner, I’m slowly learning the value of progress over perfection. While it’s still a struggle, having the awareness helps me stop, think and address it during those moments.”

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

The biggest obstacle in my life has always been perfectionism. I give a ton of grace to others, but when it comes to myself—I’m ruthless. Sometimes, it even delays or deters me from doing something worthwhile. As a business owner, I’m slowly learning the value of progress over perfection. While it’s still a struggle, having the awareness helps me stop, think and address it during those moments.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

A year from now, I hope that I’m kinder to myself and more patient with life. Everything has its season—I need to travel through them gracefully and stop hanging on for dear life, haha.
