Cassandra Speer

Somewhere between school drop-off and pick-up, Cassandra finds time to inspire a generation through words of solidarity, peace and hope for the weary.

What makes you feel proud?

Looking at my children and knowing that I’m sowing into a legacy that future generations will reap.

What keeps you up at night?

Honestly, I wake up everyday excited that I get to do what I do for a living but very little keeps me up at night. I’m a Mama of three tiny humans and when my head hits the pillow I’m out.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

Not to sound “churchy,” but I genuinely live my life motivated by two things: Love God and love people. The love of God is my biggest influence in life.

“I want women to know and embrace their worth. Period.”

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

Oof. Where do I begin?! I’d say the biggest obstacle in my life has been my own limiting beliefs. Viewing life through the lens of false beliefs about myself, my trauma, lack of resources and qualifications. None of these things have the power to define the direction of my life or my capacity to impact the lives of others in a positive way.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

I want women to know and embrace their worth. Period.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Live life with thick skin and a tender heart.
