What makes you feel proud?

I am proud that I have pushed myself to be a voice for others despite how uncomfortable it makes me or how hard it may seem. Additionally, I am proud of myself on how I have been able to stay true to myself during the process.

What keeps you up at night?

All the pain and hurt that others experience and the lack of empathy and care we give others as a society.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

The biggest influence is my mom. Her life has taught me so much about forgiveness, humility and the ability to fight through the toughest of battles.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

I believe the biggest obstacle has been perseverance through the hard things. I continually remind myself that I was built and crafted for this assignment.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I hope I can look back and see the growth in myself and the influence I have had on people to stretch through the difficult times.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

The single biggest problem I would love to solve is intergenerational trauma. It is so important to help our families heal.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“You may not always be the favorite in the room, but favorites don’t change nations.”
