What makes Raven Wildly Capable?

“This beautiful, God-fearing woman has impeccable character that I believe isn’t noticed enough. Her strength as a woman of God, wife, mom and professional is admirable to me and she is the kindest, most helpful professional woman that you will ever meet.”

JACQUELINE CORLEY

What makes you feel proud?

I love to serve my community and people in general. I spent six years working in healthcare prior to transitioning to my current role in urban development and community building. I have a passion for elevating underserved groups whether that be for my job or through the non- profit organization my husband and I founded and lead called Live Full. My family is my biggest motivator and my greatest desire is to see them win and flourish. I believe that life is not just about me and what I can accomplish but more so what God can do through me.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My biggest influence is my son. Everything I do, I do with him in mind. I want to make him proud and reproduce in him the heart of someone who loves God and shows love to God’s people.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t do life alone.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I hope I am a better wife and mother. I hope I am continually making myself and others better, lifting the arms of underserved individuals and communities in a greater way that has lasting results.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

As a child I was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia which is a blood disorder that effects the body’s red blood cells. Growing up I spent a lot of time in hospitals. I went through a season as a young adult where my health was at its best with few complications, but a few weeks before having my son, my sickle cell spiraled and I found myself hospitalized for the first time in years. It’s a terrible feeling when your body doesn’t do what you want it to and you can’t do anything about it. Through those challenges, however, I learned to push through, be persistent in prayer and believe that eventually every storm runs out of rain.
