Alyson Moses

What makes Alyson Wildly Capable?

Alyson does the hard work of challenging the status quo so she can always show up 100 percent for herself, her family and her work. I’m so inspired by her ability to uplift those around her through her own experiences.” HANNAH SCHMITT

What makes you feel proud?

I am proud that I’ve built a career amidst always putting my kids and family first. I realize that work, energy and motivation flows up and down in different seasons, but I feel good that I have changed direction in the right timing, continued to grow my communications expertise and pursued what I’m most passionate about. I believe that there is a season to be a caterpillar, and one to emerge as a butterfly. Each butterfly has her own beauty.

What keeps you up at night?

Thinking about all the balls I am juggling and what I have to do the next day! I take each day as it comes, which makes for chaos at times, but the silver lining is that it helps me live in the moment and not worry too much about the future or things out of my control. I also think about how grateful I am for my family’s blessings and good health and others who are in need of prayers.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

My biggest obstacle and privilege is navigating raising children in a different community than the one I grew up in while navigating a career and creating our family here in Oklahoma City.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

I am concerned with women and families and the pressure women face to “do it all” at work and home and manage the mental load. This is especially concerning for women in poverty or in abusive relationships. I also want to ensure equality/ representation and that smart women get a seat at the table to effect change where it matters most.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I hope I’m moving my body more and making decisions that will promote good health for years to come. I also hope I will have started to spread my butterfly wings in a role or an area that I’m passionate about.
