Although she says her transition from Taiwan to America was difficult, you wouldn’t know it now considering how deeply rooted into the community Veronica is.
What makes you feel proud?
It makes me feel proud to know that even though I have failed more times than I have won, I use the lessons as motivation and I don't let them deter me.
What keeps you up at night?
It's usually the everlasting list of responsibilities and or tasks I'm organizing in my head. If not that, ideas and inventions that I can execute since those are my main goals in life: To be an entrepreneur and an inventor.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
The biggest influence in my life is my best friend, Jenny Nguyen. Jenny is a friend/person I've always prayed for. Jenny's authenticity, compassion and ambition is unmatched. She inspires me to be better everyday and the way she shows up for people makes you feel seen and important.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
Transitioning from Taiwan to America. Adjusting to customs, culture, language and the people were difficult and humiliating at times. However, I'm grateful for the transition and my time there has helped create the sum of who I am.
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope to keep progressing on my personal journey(s) and to never be complacent.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Always be kind to others because you never know what someone is going through. A smile or act of kindness could change someone's day.

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?
If I had to choose one, I would focus on tackling individuals who are experiencing homelessness in our community. I want to build a community where people can always have a place to rest their head at night and have a community they can count on.
