What makes you feel proud?
I used to feel far more bothered when people made unkind comments toward me or when someone shared an opinion I felt was untrue. I am proud that I can now accept the fact that when someone says something unkind, it's more of a reflection of their own pain than a criticism of my personal character or way of being. When someone says something I disagree with, I am proud to have an understanding that they've simply been exposed to different information than me.
What keeps you up at night?
Luckily, I sleep pretty well most days. But when I feel like I am not able to fulfill a promise I've made, you bet my mind is racing! I don't like disappointing anyone. I am a recovering people-pleaser and perfectionist...shoutout to all the enneagram twos of the world!
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
It sounds odd, but I created my own greatest obstacle in myself. I think it's funny how the thing that's most physically close to me—my body and my brain—causes me the most challenge and is hardest to feel in control over. I've dealt with seasons of tough depression, but I feel like through every challenge, mentally or physically, I've come out stronger and better suited to care for myself and have empathy for others.
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope I've learned new things, loved more people and acted with full integrity in creating memories that I'm proud of.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I've heard is: you don't always need "advice." All the answers may be within, if you're willing to listen to yourself.
