Teara Flagg Lander
Teara Flagg Lander is a wife and mom who’s living her calling as a diversity, equity and inclusion practitioner as a professional and personally. She launched her consulting business during the pandemic and said although she loves being acknowledged for her hard work, it’s her work creating a bright future for her sons that truly fulfills her. Here’s how Teara describes her typical day:
So I wake up around 5:00 a.m. and workout with the Peleton App for about 30-45 minutes, meditation for 5-10 minutes and set an intention for my day, and sometimes I am joined by my 2 year old Walter and other days I am not. If I manage to finish a solo workout I shower quickly and wake up my children (Gerard-5/Walter-2) I get them dressed and provide a pre-school snack typically a banana or apple. We head to daycare and drop them off and I commute to work for an 8:00 a.m. start to my work day which is often full of meetings. I typically pack my lunch and breakfast and eat it as I work or chat with coworkers during lunch. After work, I head home typically arriving about 6:00 p.m. I hang out with my kids (play games, puzzles, play outside, etc.) and husband or make dinner if it is my night to cook (I get T/R). After dinner we put the kids to bed at 8:00 0r 8:30 following baths and my husband and I attempt to catch up on the latest television show, next on our list is the Winter Soldier and Falcon.
