Mandie Thompson
What makes you feel proud?
Watching my girls live a good life. It wasn’t always that way. I am seven years sober and I did a lot of hard work to get my kids back and fought for my marriage. Now I get to help other woman fight through addiction and other life altering situations!
What keeps you up at night?
The well-being of the girls I work with every day.
One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?
I hope to be closer to God and my family.
What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?
One of the biggest obstacles in my life is being the first person in my family to break the cycles of addiction, poverty, abuse and brokenness and trusting God and myself with each next right step. I’m currently working on myself so I can be the mom my three girls need in this season.
Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
Stefannie Powell. She taught me how to fight the right way and with her help, I was able to find my voice that was lost for so long
