Jaimee Lee

Her story could have had a much different ending, but because of Jaimee’s ability to overcome seemingly impossible odds, she ended a cycle of brokenness and dysfunction to lead her family into a brighter future.

What makes you feel proud?

Knowing everything I’ve been through to see where I’m at today. I started using drugs at age 11 and they took over my life until age 30. I finally hit rock bottom and almost went to prison for seven to 15 years. In jail waiting for a court date, ReMerge pulled me out and I started my journey to recovery. I graduated from the program two years later and getting my kids back was just the start of my new life.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

Linette, my Mother. She is the strongest woman I know. She always has a smile on her face and determination in her blood. She is the reason I am as strong as I am today.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

Not letting my past hinder who I am today. I struggle feeling like my past and my background will haunt me forever.

One year from today, how do you hope you’re different?

I would like to believe my life would look a little different in one year. Hopefully moving up in my company and buying my first home!

What’s the single biggest problem you’d like to solve in your community?

Getting more programs like ReMerge for women and men. Because ReMerge saved my life and I believe if there were more programs like ReMerge, more people would have a fighting chance to get sober like I did.
