Emily Hart

After many years as a stay-at-home mom, Emily started her career from scratch, watched it blossom into incredible opportunities and now relishes any chance to help others reach their own goals.

What makes you feel proud?

I’m proud of my relationship with my husband and children. We work together to make sure our home is full of love and laughter and our bond is my most treasured earthly possession. I also feel proud when I see someone else pursuing their dreams. Whether they’re falling, failing, winning or somewhere in between—it’s the passionate pursuit that fills my heart with pride for them.

What’s been the biggest obstacle in your life so far?

My biggest obstacle has been breaking free of the lies about myself I believed for many years. I didn’t realize that I was capable of great things until recently. It feels odd to say that, but life has a way of telling us we’re not worthy of love or success. I’ve stopped believing those lies and now I remember that I’m a child of God and I’m loved exactly as I am.

Who is the biggest influence in your life? Why?

My husband, Josh. He has been the single most influential person in every decision and life event. He believes in me and is my best friend. I think we make a great team.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Happiness is a journey, not a destination. It’s not really advice given by anyone in particular, but a refrigerator magnet I bought when I was a young mom in my twenties. It’s still on my fridge and I look at it every day. It reminds me that happiness is available wherever I am and in every phase in life.
